From the earth to the hand

The stone
Out of the earth, light.
A natural diamond leaves the rock that kept it for ages and opens, facet by facet, to the light.
Italian gold
Then gold rises to meet it.
Fine Italian gold, warm and alive, takes the shape of a ring made to hold one stone and nothing else.
The setting
Six claws close around it.
The ring is made to order around the stone you choose, so it sits high, safe and free to catch the light.
The light
And the light comes alive.
It enters through the table, turns inside the stone and returns as brilliance.

Materials
Solid metal. No plating, ever.
Every setting is cast and finished in one of our metals. We choose it for the stone and for the hand, never to make a price look smaller.
Platinum
Pt 950
Pt 950
The densest metal we work and the most forgiving over a lifetime. Platinum does not wear away, it moves, so a claw that holds a stone today still holds it in forty years. It takes a soft patina; a polish brings back the mirror.
White gold
Au 750 · Pd
Au 750 · Pd
Eighteen carat gold alloyed with palladium so it is white in itself. Lighter on the hand than platinum and a little warmer in tone, it sits beside a colourless diamond without lending it any yellow. Every few years a polish keeps it bright.
Yellow gold
Au 750
Au 750
Eighteen carat yellow gold, the traditional choice and the warmest. It flatters skin, wears to a soft lustre and suits a slightly warmer stone. We set white claws on a yellow band when the stone should stay icy.
Rose gold
Au 750 · Cu
Au 750 · Cu
Eighteen carat gold alloyed with copper for a soft pink warmth. The copper makes it the hardest of our golds, and it deepens a shade over the years. Beautiful with oval and pear cuts, where the warm band frames a cool stone.

Pavé
Micro claws
Micro claws
Small diamonds set edge to edge along the band, each held by tiny beads of metal raised by hand under the microscope. A plain band becomes a line of light, and the ring sits on the finger exactly as before.

The workshop
Made by hand, around one stone.
Every ring is made to order at our bench in Tbilisi. We start from the stone you chose and build the setting to fit it, so nothing is forced or resized to suit a mount.

How a ring is made
- 01
The stone
You choose the diamond, here or at the showroom. Before anything else we check it under a loupe against its report.
- 02
The drawing
We draw the setting to the stone's real measurements and agree every detail with you before the metal is cast.
- 03
The bench
The setting is cast, filed and polished, and the stone is set by hand, one claw at a time.
- 04
The fitting
You collect the ring at the showroom, and we check the fit on your hand before it leaves us.
